The new-shape Mustang convertible has one feature that is especially useful in Dubai: remote start. From the key fob you can start the engine and switch on the air conditioning a few minutes before you walk out to the car, so the leather and the steering wheel are cool when you get in.
The 2026 car has a 480 hp V8, a 10-speed automatic and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster. Its Premium trim adds heated and cooled leather seats, a Bang and Olufsen sound system and ambient lighting, and the soft top folds away electrically.
It is the loudest and most American of our convertibles. Against the BMW 420i and Mercedes C300 cabriolet it is far more powerful and much less refined; for a red V8 convertible on a winter evening, that is rather the point.
