Rent BMW 420i Convertible in Dubai

Among the four-seat convertibles we rent, the 420i is the one for people who like driving more than being seen. Rear-wheel drive and a well balanced chassis make it feel light and tidy through the interchanges on Al Khail Road, where the Mercedes C300 cabriolet is softer and the Mustang is louder and heavier.

It is a car for the cooler months. From November to March the roof can stay down for most of the day; between May and September it is an evening car, at its best after sunset along Jumeirah Beach Road. Roof up, the cabin is quiet enough for the motorway.

Two adults travel comfortably and the rear seats suit children or a short hop. Our other BMW 420 convertible is mechanically identical, so if this one is booked for your dates, that one will feel the same.

Is the BMW 420i convertible underpowered?

No. 184 hp and 300 Nm from a 2.0-litre turbo move it briskly enough through the 8-speed automatic, and active cruise control does the highway work. It is a cruiser for the coast road, not a drag racer; the engine note with the roof down is the point.

Does the 420i have a fabric roof or a hard top?

A power-operated fabric soft top, which is lighter and quieter to operate than the old folding hard top on earlier 4 Series. Sports seats with memory, LED adaptive headlights and a rear-view camera with sensors are fitted.

What music system is in the 420i convertible?

Harman Kardon surround sound, which copes with wind noise better than the standard BMW speakers. iDrive runs Apple CarPlay and there is wireless phone charging.

How many people fit in the 420i convertible?

Four, though the back two are small and best kept for children. With the roof closed the boot holds two bags; a weekend bag each is the realistic load for two adults travelling in it.
