Cadillac means the Escalade, and we rent three very different versions of it. The Platinum Sport is the long-wheelbase model, with extra luggage space behind the third row. The 2025 Escalade is the newest, with massage seats, Super Cruise and adaptive air suspension. The Escalade-V is the fast one, with a 682 hp supercharged V8 and four exhaust tips.
All three seat seven, share the curved OLED dashboard display and the 36-speaker AKG sound system, and carry a family and its luggage without a second car. The two standard cars make 420 hp from their 6.2-litre V8s, and the Escalade-V supercharges its 6.2.

An Escalade is between about 5.4 and 5.8 metres long, so it needs a full-size parking bay, and some older multi-storey car parks are a squeeze. Hotels and the airport handle it easily, and on the Platinum Sport the side steps slide out to help passengers climb in.
